The Central Okanagan Disability Coalition (CODC) is the home of a number of initiatives by disabled people for disabled people in the Central Okanagan

Central Okanagan Disability Coalition is all run by volunteers.

Our aims are:

  • be the advocate for all disabled people in the Central Okanagan
  • provide information on the supports and programs available to disabled people
  • educate private, public organizations and businesses about the lived experience of disabled people

To get you started, CODC has prepared listings of resources for adults with disabilities. Look over the lists, Local, ProvincialNational. You will find organizations that provide information, referral, and/or direct services.

The lists include a brief description with contact information for each organization’s activities is included to help you choose those organizations that seem appropriate to your needs.

AXLE stands for Access Experts in Lived Experience. This group of disabled people offer their lived experience as a resource for local government and businesses to explore the accessibility of their organization.

​Accessible Transportation is a conduit to the Accessible Transit Advisory. The group that meets with the City of Kelowna and BC Transit quarterly.
