Accessible Transit

Accessible Transit Advisory Group

The Accessible Transit Advisory Group meets with representatives from the City of Kelowna and BC Transit to provide input on the needs for disabled people accessing the transit system.

Accessible Transit means ways for disabled people to use the regular buses, known as conventional transit, and the HandyDART bus system, known as custom transit.

Disabled people might use just conventional transit, conventional and custom transit, or just custom transit. In the Accessible Transit Advisory Group we talk through issues that relate to all areas of transit and put forward suggestions for improvements.
